Our 250 Class Barges (“GLOBO 2501” & “GLOBO 2502”) provide critical Marine Transport services for movement of Super Heavy, Super dimensional Project Cargo to various brownfield and greenfield Refineries in Northern, Western and Eastern Part of India

Our 250 Class Heavy Lift Deck Cargo Barges “GLOBO 2501” & “GLOBO 2502” were involved in a series of highly critical transport of national importance over the last few months for Refineries in North, West and East Part of India.

The season started with the transport of 2 Heavy Lifts on the West Coast of India for a Refinery on Gujarat Coast, wherein 2 Heavy Lifts (Reactor measuring 46.78m x 10.35m x 10.03m and weighing 603.21MT & Product Purge Bin measuring 49.85m x 10.28m x 9.96m and weighing 349 MT) were Rolled onto our Barge “GLOBO 2501” at the supplier’s Ro-Ro Jetty at Dahej. The Heavy Lifts were subsequently barged to a Jetty at Vadinar (Gujarat) where they were loaded out in a floating operation. The Packages were subsequently transported by land to the Refinery site, about 15 kms from the Jetty.

After this, our 2 Barges – “GLOBO 2501” and “GLOBO 2502” – worked together in Tandem for another important Barging operation for a Refinery being constructed in the Northern Part of India at Barmer, Rajasthan. While “GLOBO 2501” was used for Marine Transport of 3 Heavy Lifts (C3 Stripper Section 1 measuring 31.855m x 9.70m x 9.2m, weighing         606.35 MT; C3 Stripper Section 2 measuring 34.5m x 9.7m X9.2m, weighing 605.091MT & C3 Stripper Section 3 measuring 31.92m x 9.7m x 9.2m, weighing 488.911 MT), 6 Heavy Lifts (Caustic Tower Section 2 measuring 30.5m x 6.3m x 7m, weighing 280MT;C3 Rectifier Section 1&2 measuring 9.7m x 10.278m x 4.88m, weighing 55 MT;C3 Rectifier section-1D measuring 10.454m x 9.310m x 8.86m, weighing 87 MT; C2 Splitter (Section-1) measuring 42.5m x 7.1m x 6.6m, weighing 275MT; Stripper & Absorber measuring 44.89m x  6.2m x 6.1m, weighing 280MT & C3 Refig 1st/2nd  Stage Section Drum measuring 50.1m x 5.8m x 7m, weighing 315MT) were transported on “GLOBO 2502”. The 9 Heavy Lifts were Rolled onto the Barges at the supplier’s Ro-Ro Jetty at Hazira, Gujarat and Barged to Mundra Port where they were Rolled off at a Private Port’s Ro-Ro jetty. The Packages will, subsequently, be delivered to the Refinery site by road.

For the same Refinery in Rajasthan, 3 Heavy Lifts were Rolled onto our Barge “GLOBO 2501” on the West Coast of India. The 3 Heavy Lifts (C2 Hydrogenation – Arsine guard bed measuring 22.35m x 8.24m x 8.95m, weighing 535.227 MT; CG – Secondary Dehydrator measuring 22.8m x 7.060m x 7.190m, weighing 257.095 MT & De-Methaniser Drum (Bottom Section) measuring 43.8m x 6.210m x 6.66m, weighing 445.813 MT) were Rolled onto our Barge “GLOBO 2501” at the supplier’s Ro-Ro Jetty at Dahej. The Heavy Lifts were subsequently barged to Mundra Port where they were Rolled off. The Packages will, subsequently, be delivered to site by road at the Refinery site in Rajasthan.

From serving Refineries in the Western and Northern part of India, it was time for our Barge “GLOBO 2501” to serve the Eastern Coast, where a public sector behemoth is constructing a Refinery in Barauni, Bihar. As Part of this Project, our Barge “GLOBO 2501” was used to transport 3 Critical Heavy Lifts from the supplier’s Jetty at Dahej, Gujarat. The 3 Packages (DHT Reactor measuring 31.5m x 8.250m x 8m, weighing 521MT; 1st HDT Reactor measuring 31.52 m x 5.860m x 6.23m, weighing 346.5 MT & 2nd Diesel HDT Reactor measuring 31.8m x 6.0m x 6.2m, weighing 357MT) were Rolled onto our Barge at the supplier’s Ro-Ro Jetty at Dahej and barged to Mumbai Port where a Heavy Lift vessel equipped with 2x350T derrick Cranes lifted off the 3 Heavy Lifts. The Heavy Lifts were shipped to Haldia Port from where they will be delivered by road at the Refinery site at Barauni, Bihar – about 600 Kms away.

For all these Projects the Barges were inspected and approved by the most reputed and respected Marine Warranty Surveyors of the country and we are glad that the Barge performed all the critical transports to their and client’s complete satisfaction.
