Supply of our 180 Class Flat Top Deck Cargo Barge for the Construction of the prestigious Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) Sea Link Project

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is constructing the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) which is also known as the Sewri-Nhava Sheva Trans Harbour Link. It is a 21.8 kilometres long Sea Link that will connect Mumbai with the satellite township of Navi Mumbai. When completed, it would be the longest sea bridge in India. The bridge will begin in Sewri in the Southern part of Mumbai and cross Thane Creek north of Elephanta Island and will terminate at Chirle village, near Nhava Sheva.

The Part construction of this highly prestigious Project has been awarded to one of the most reputed and well known Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors in India. For the construction of this bridge, the said EPC Contractor needed Marine equipment including Floating Crane Barges equipped with Reverse Circulating Drilling (RCD) Machines, Air Compressors and Vibro Hammers. For this Project, we have supplied our 180 Class Deck Cargo Barge “GLOBO-1801” to the said Contractor. This Barge is equipped with a 4 Point Mooring system comprising of 4 nos. 2T High Holding Anchors and 4 nos. Electrical winches powered by 62.5KVA DG sets.

With a clear deck space of 54 m x 15 m and a deck capacity of 10 T/sq.m, “GLOBO 1801” is an ideal vessel for such Marine Construction Projects. Apart from the RCD machines and Vibro Hammers, a 260 MT capacity Crawler Crane has also been mounted on the Barge.
